Mica Morgan, a 19 year old student from Birmingham who works with a group of young people from eight to 18, views her leadership credentials as “getting there!” This overly modest interpretation comes from her belief that she could “never do what the young people in my group do. It’s a performing arts project and they are all involved as a way of boosting their confidence. I think of my mum as a good leader as she gets nervous but gets on and does it anyway, so I try and follow that; plus even though I would never have put myself into vulnerable situations before like my group does, I have to now because I’ve led them into it!”
